Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operations.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients, greet them, and offer assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, in line with policies and regulations. Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow and report prescription errors immediately.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Process third-party claims and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including sample collection and labeling, and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure a neat environment.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through training and/or state registration. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
