Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist the pharmacist in other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and resolving issues.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies related to pharmacy safety and quality.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Develop relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state requirements. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training sessions, earn continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
