Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Process claims for third-party prescription services and support inventory management activities.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain good relationships with the medical community and support external outreach efforts.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification. Certification is required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
