Responsibilities include:

• In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions accurately and assist customers in locating products.
• Process third-party claims and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with local medical communities and support outreach efforts.
• Maintain a clean and stocked pharmacy environment and comply with all policies.
• Complete assignments and tasks as directed.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the training program and/or state registration; certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training sessions and earn continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
