Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred unless required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily pharmacy tasks and maintain operations per policy.
• Work under supervision of a licensed pharmacist and perform duties with some independence.
• Pickup drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver medications to correct patient areas promptly and accurately.
• Assist with billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain pharmacy drugs per formulary, including stocking and paperwork.
• Monitor dosing according to MAR and narcotics sign-out records.
• Maintain all forms for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Education
