Job summary

ShopRite Neptune is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in providing medications and healthcare products to patients. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and high-quality customer care in a fast-paced store pharmacy.

Location is ShopRite of Neptune, Neptune, NJ. The position requires independence, teamwork, and adherence to State and Federal drug laws, with training to maintain safety and service priorities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of shift.
• Ability to fill prescriptions with dexterity.
• Ability to identify colors, shapes, and sizes.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to use computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately collect payment and provide correct change.
• Input patient information for processing prescriptions.
• Assist Pharmacist in processing prescriptions, counting and labeling.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed.
• Help customers locate over-the-counter items.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy Department.
• Interact with physicians and resolve issues.
• Keep a clean, organized, safe work environment.
• Follow drug laws, HIPAA and other regulations.
