Job summary

ShopRite is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at the Freehold location to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and assisting customers with healthcare products. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer care, and adherence to safety and privacy regulations.

Essential duties include prescription input, labeling, stocking, and helping customers find items while maintaining a clean and compliant pharmacy environment. This is an in-store, full-time position with benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions, including basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to fill prescriptions with dexterity.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, counting and labeling as needed.
• Input patient information for prescription processing.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed by Pharmacist.
• Assist customers in locating over-the-counter products and stay knowledgeable about in-store items.
• Maintain security and cleanliness in the Pharmacy Department.
• Adhere to all drug laws and HIPAA regulations.
