Kroger Family of Companies in Cookeville, TN is seeking a friendly pharmacy clerk to deliver exceptional customer service, assist with prescription intake, data entry and product dispensing while maintaining safety and accuracy.

You will support the pharmacist, handle cash and card transactions, ensure HIPAA compliance, manage stock and keep the pharmacy area clean and organized, and help customers with questions in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old to work in this role.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
• Meets minimum state requirements for pharmacy clerk duties.

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report illegal activity such as robbery, theft or fraud.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Understand and perform ordering with wholesalers for medications, devices, and supplies.
• Adhere to inventory management and purchasing guidelines for medications and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Count, measure and prepare specified product per company standards.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure value for customers and the company.
• Answer phone, triage calls and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
• Adhere to vendor coupon guidelines and cash management/shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register and handle EFTs, cash, checks per policy to prevent loss.
• Provide excellent reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing support.
• Assist pharmacists in duties that do not require professional judgment.
• Comply with HIPAA and company privacy policies.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and stock distribution, including legend orders.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Assist with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
