Job summary

Harris Teeter in Sterling, VA is seeking a store associate to support health and wellness initiatives and assist pharmacists while delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will handle reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing tasks in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, inventory management, and billing procedures, with a focus on safety, sanitation, and compliance across store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Pharmacy clerk experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Follow cash register procedures and handle electronic funds transactions and cash transactions.
• Adhere to guidelines on vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrinkage controls.
• Answer phones and triage inquiries; perform billing procedures as needed.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products following company practices.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and waiting areas.
• Manage inventory control and ordering of medications and supplies with wholesalers.
