Job summary

Harris Teeter in New Bern, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives while assisting the pharmacist with dispensing and patient care. You will ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain licensure, and deliver a stellar customer experience in a fast-paced store environment.

You will perform data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps, while coaching clerks and technicians, and upholding sanitation and safety standards across the pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy operations and health/wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Assist pharmacist with responsibilities excluding professional judgment.
• Maintain current state or national registration as required.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
• Coach and train clerks/technicians as needed.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data against records.
• Support non-dispensing services across platforms and apps.
• Comply with all sanitation and safety regulations and local, state, and federal codes.
• Report illegal activity such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
