Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk/Customer Service Associate in Chapel Hill, NC to support pharmacists and deliver exceptional service. You will handle reception, data entry, dispensing steps, cash handling, and HIPAA-compliant patient interactions, while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will work under state guidelines and company policies to ensure accurate transactions and a safe shopping experience for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Answer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriate.
• Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications and supplies.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
