Job summary

Meijer Inc. pharmacy team is seeking a qualified pharmacist to promote patient care and drive clinical services across our in-store pharmacy. You will handle prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and immunization responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with store teams to deliver health outcomes. Experience in retail pharmacy and a state license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Licensed or registered as required by the state of practice.
• Retail/community pharmacy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points to provide excellent customer care.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription data into the dispensing system accurately.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized pharmacy area.
• Communicate effectively and support patient care initiatives.
• Respect patient confidentiality and privacy policies.
• Support Meijer Health Screening programs and immunization services as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA waivers and third-party processes.
