Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is hiring Pharmacy Technicians to support pharmacy teams in CVS Retail locations. Technicians help ensure safe, timely, and accurate prescriptions while delivering caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

They complete required training and state licensure per guidelines, and may assist with immunizations and related duties under supervision. They must adhere to SOPs, privacy rules, and quality standards in a dynamic store setting.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including licensure/certification.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
• If the state board does not address minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.
• If the state board does not address minimum education, must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru and over the phone.
• Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and directed by the pharmacy leadership team (e.g., inventory, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories).
• Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback; expanding clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, and traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
• Complying with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
