Job summary

MultiCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a staff-level role that supports daily pharmacy operations, including stocking, data entry, and phone screening. The position involves assisting in ordering supplies, verifying invoices, and performing compounding under supervision.

The role requires a WA-DOH certified technician with a high school diploma; retail experience is preferred. A valid driver's license may be required for some shifts, and familiarity with pharmacy software is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the WA State Dept of Health.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
• Driver's license if required to drive MHS vehicle.
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only).

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and verify items received against invoices.
• Store items and maintain stock levels, dating and initialing invoices/packing slips.
• Enter customers' medication and billing information into computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.
