Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is a staff-level position at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. The role requires organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices.
• Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and or packing slips upon receipt.
• Enter customer's medication and billing information into the computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
• Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
• If required to drive an MHS vehicle, a driver’s license is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only).

MultiCare provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits, and paid time off. Pay range is $27.64 - $45.69 USD, adjusted for skill level, experience and certifications. Union contracts may adjust pay to reflect appropriate step on the pay scale.
