Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter new or refill orders, adjudicate insurance claims, and handle order exceptions in a Lawrence, KS onsite facility.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of order-entry experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy, be licensed as a KS Pharmacy Technician, and hold a PTCB certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and FrameworkLTC is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in order entry in a retail or long-term care pharmacy setting.
• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB is required.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC is preferred.
• Type an average of 60 wpm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can meet order deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Is available for occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently enter new or renewed orders.
• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections.
• Properly handle order exceptions and clarifications such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and peers.
• Achieve or exceed productivity standards in a fast-paced environment.
