Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is hiring an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to accurately enter new and refilled orders, adjudicate insurance claims, and resolve order exceptions. The role supports a long-term care pharmacy serving diverse clients across the United States and offers a path for career growth.

The ideal candidate will have a Texas license, 1 year of retail or LTC experience (3+ years preferred), proficiency with typing and MS Office, and strong communication skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Ability to type at least 60 wpm and communicate effectively.
• Strong pharmacy terminology and arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter new or renewed orders for entry into the system.
• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections.
• Handle order exceptions such as refill-too-soon and invalid orders.
• Communicate with leadership and peers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards in a fast-paced environment.
