Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Missouri seeks an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to ensure prescriptions are entered, fulfilled and prepared for delivery accurately and on time under the supervision of a Staff Pharmacist.

Qualified candidates are Registered Pharmacy Technicians in Missouri with 2+ years of pharmacy experience and excellent customer service, strong communication, and attention to detail. FrameworkLTC experience preferred; HIPAA compliance essential; flexible schedule required.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with Missouri; certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of pharmacy experience in long-term care, retail, mail order, or hospital.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and strong communication skills.
  • HIPAA/privacy and security knowledge.
  • Flexible schedule required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist by accurately performing order entry, order fulfillment, and delivery preparation of medications.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physician offices, and other team members in a professional manner to provide outstanding service.
  • Communicate with third party payers to resolve rejected claims.
  • Receive daily inventory from wholesaler and assist with identifying soon-to-expire and outdated inventory for return.
  • Assist with full quarterly inventory and other duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state of Missouri, Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care pharmacy, retail, mail order, and/or hospital
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • Must have excellent customer service attitude and a professional demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated
  • Excellent computer skills, including pharmacy operations system (FrameworkLTC experience preferred), and moderate-to-strong comprehension of Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines when necessary
  • Work quickly and efficiently to achieve all the daily tasks and at sometimes go above and beyond to support the team
  • Must be accurate and have a great attention to detail
  • Must know HIPPA laws in regard to the privacy, confidentially, and security of patient information.
  • Flexible schedule required

  • Calls third party payers to ensure correct processing
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
Physical Demands
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
  • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
