Job summary

Hy-Vee Gretna is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with prescription processing, insurance billing, and customer service on-site in Gretna, NE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward national technician certification is required.
• Pharmacy clerk experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greeting customers with a smile.
• Handle inquiries that do not require pharmacist expertise and judgment.
• Accept new prescription orders and telephoned refills as directed by the pharmacist.
• Coordinate with doctor offices for refills as needed and maintain patient information.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels and assist with insurance processing and billing.
