GEM Edwards Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Hudson, Ohio. The role includes data entry, prescription filling, and inventory management within a fast-growing setting.

The candidate should be a state-certified technician or plan to certify within six months, with at least two years of pharmacy experience and strong customer service skills. Experience with PioneerRx is a plus, and the position offers ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• State-certified pharmacy technician required or plan to certify within 6 months.
• 2 years of pharmacy experience with 3rd party rejection resolution preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
• Excellent telecommunication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with word processing and computer systems.
• Experience with PioneerRx is highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of new and refill prescriptions.
• Filling of new and refill prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Resolve third-party payer issues.
• Assist with calls to business associates, patients, and providers as needed.
• Coordinate interdepartmental patient care and service.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance meetings.
• Assist Compliance to ensure SOP adherence.

• Hours of operation are 8:15am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Technician:

• Data entry of new and refill prescriptions
• Filling of new and refill prescriptions
• Maintain sufficient and accurate inventory
• Resolve third party issues with payers and providers
• Phone calls to assist with business associates, patients, and providers needs and/or relays information to administrative support staff to complete calls as needed
• Coordinate vast interdepartmental patient care and service
• Participate and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance improvement meetings
• Assist Compliance Department to ensure pharmacy operations and personnel are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Key Requirements:

• State Certified Pharmacy Technician or imminent plans to become Certified within 6 months.
• 2 years pharmacy experience with 3rd party rejection resolution preferred.
• Ability to work in a rapidly growing and fast paced environment
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent telecommunication skills and superb customer service
• Proficient word processing abilities as well as computer/system navigation
• Prior PioneerRx experience will be extremely beneficial
• High School diploma or equivalent
