Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE, seeks a part-time or PRN Pharmacist in Hudson, OH to join our closed-door mail order team with potential for future full-time opportunities. Earn a voice in a caring culture while contributing to a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe medication use, maintaining dispensing policies, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will help implement new SOPs to align with ACHC, URAC, NABP accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing; additional licenses are a plus.
• Working knowledge of third-party adjudication and related regulatory standards.
• Ability to communicate in a multi-discipline environment across business units.

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsible use of medications and compliant pharmacy operations.
• Maintain policies for procurement, storage, and dispensing of drugs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee SOPs to meet updated accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC, NABP).

Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:

• Ensure the responsible use of medications and all aspects of pharmacy operations while effectively and efficiently maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies and state boards of pharmacy.
• Help maintain policies and procedures for the procurement, storage, and dispensing of drugs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee, track, and implement new Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance to current and updated accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC, NABP).

Key Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing
• Additional state pharmacist licenses highly preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Third-Party adjudication and resolution
• Knowledge and understanding of related accreditation and performance standards
• Ability to communicate in a multi discipline environment across all business units
• Must exhibit excellent telephone, customer service and computer skills with the desire to represent the department in a professional and courteous manner
