Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE, is seeking a Pharmacist for part-time or PRN engagement with potential for full-time in the near future. The role is based in Hudson, OH, at GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a closed-door mail order operation.

You will help ensure compliant medication use, oversee procedures, and contribute to accreditation readiness in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from ACPE accredited College/School of Pharmacy with BS Pharmacy or PharmD.
• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Additional state licenses preferred but not required.
• Experience with Third-Party adjudication and resolution is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in a multi-discipline environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsible use of medications and compliant pharmacy operations.
• Maintain policies for procurement, storage, and dispensing of drugs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee and implement new SOPs to meet accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC, NABP).

Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:

• Ensure the responsible use of medications and all aspects of pharmacy operations while effectively and efficiently maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies and state boards of pharmacy.
• Help maintain policies and procedures for the procurement, storage, and dispensing of drugs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee, track, and implement new Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance to current and updated accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC, NABP).

Key Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing
• Additional state pharmacist licenses highly preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Third-Party adjudication and resolution
• Knowledge and understanding of related accreditation and performance standards
• Ability to communicate in a multi discipline environment across all business units
• Must exhibit excellent telephone, customer service and computer skills with the desire to represent the department in a professional and courteous manner
