Job description

Why FMH

Every day, someone receives a life-changing diagnosis. Getting the right medication should be straightforward - but too often it isn’t.

Specialty medications move through a complex network of providers, health plans, pharmacies, and manufacturers. Administrative delays, disconnected systems, and limited visibility can slow treatment when time matters most.

Free Market Health exists to make that process work better.

Our technology connects stakeholders across the specialty pharmacy ecosystem, helping prescriptions reach the right pharmacy while improving visibility, reducing friction, and keeping treatment moving forward for the patients who depend on them. We focus on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.

What You’ll Do
  • Review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and fulfillment readiness.
  • Resolve prescription issues by coordinating with providers, payers, dispensing pharmacies, pharmacists, and internal partners.
  • Support benefit investigations and prior authorization activities by gathering and communicating required information.
  • Coordinate daily technician workflow, monitor volume, and reassign tasks as business needs shift.
  • Help maintain team coverage by tracking time-off requests and supporting schedule adjustments.
  • Provide operational updates and reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and the patient experience.
  • Follow applicable procedures, regulatory standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
What We’re Looking For

  • At least two years of pharmacy experience; specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drug nomenclature, medical terminology, dosing concepts, and patient care practices.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and data-entry skills.
  • Confidence learning new technology and working through complex issues to resolution.
  • Experience with prior authorizations and reviewing medical records for relevant clinical information is preferred.
  • A collaborative, accountable approach and the ability to guide daily work without formal people-management responsibility.
