Job description

Why FMH

Every day, someone receives a life-changing diagnosis. Getting the right medication should be straightforward - but too often it isn’t.

Specialty medications move through a complex network of providers, health plans, pharmacies, and manufacturers. Administrative delays, disconnected systems, and limited visibility can slow treatment when time matters most.

Free Market Health exists to make that process work better.

Our technology connects stakeholders across the specialty pharmacy ecosystem, helping prescriptions reach the right pharmacy while improving visibility, reducing friction, and keeping treatment moving forward for the patients who depend on them. We focus on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.

Your impact

We are seeking aPharmacy Services Managerto lead the daily work of our Pharmacy Services team and help ensure patients receive timely, effective support. This role reports directly to the Director, Pharmacy Services and will lead a small team.

In this role, you will advise on workload priorities, strengthen team performance, and improve the operational processes supporting prescription acquisition and claims remediation. You will also serve as a key connection between Free Market Health, pharmacy partners, and internal teams, helping resolve barriers, improve data sharing, and drive better patient and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Pharmacy Services team’s daily workload and priorities, ensuring responsibilities are completed efficiently and service expectations are met.
  • Coach, train, and support team members across Pharmacy Services processes and responsibilities.
  • Establish clear expectations and provide ongoing guidance and feedback that promote development, accountability, and strong performance.
  • Build productive relationships with pharmacy partners through consistent communication, follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with the Pharmacy Success team to support measurable progress in data sharing and pharmacy engagement.
  • Improve pharmacy-related workflows to increase efficiency, reduce unnecessary referral support, and help advance timely patient care.
  • Monitor work queues, turnaround times, and workflow barriers, taking action to address issues that affect service delivery.
  • Identify recurring trends, technical concerns, and operational breakdowns that may affect performance, data quality, or patient support.
  • Escalate significant risks and operational concerns with clear context, supporting information, and recommended next steps.
  • Collaborate across teams to strengthen processes, improve pharmacy engagement, and support operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to workload status, pharmacy progress, escalations, and operational outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmacy operations, pharmacy services, healthcare operations, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, coordinating workload, and coaching employees in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Knowledge of prescription workflows, claims remediation processes, and pharmacy data exchange or status management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop productive relationships with pharmacy partners and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to identify trends, solve operational problems, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to timely, patient-centered outcomes.
