South Shore Health System in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Intern to join our SSH Pharmacy team. This part-time role provides hands-on experience under supervision, supporting unit-dose orders and inventory tasks in a hospital setting.

You will assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding, repackaging medications into barcode-ready units, and replenishing code carts as part of the central pharmacy operations, learning from licensed pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High school level of education.
• Minimum 3 months work experience as Pharmacy Technician; hospital pharmacy experience desirable.
• Licenses/Registrations: RPT or RPI (Registered Pharmacy Technician or Intern)
• Certifications: CPhT or ExCPT

Responsibilities

• Fill routine drug orders for unit dose medications.
• Refill medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
• Perform non-sterile and sterile compounding.
• Repackage medications into unit dose barcoded packages.
• Replenish code carts drug supply.
