PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - INTAKE COORDINATOR (2nd Shift - LTC)

Position Details

Shift: 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Schedule: Every other weekend, 3 holidays per year required.

What You'll Do

• Ensure timely medication delivery for residents by accurately collecting and entering patient and payer information, and collaborating with facility staff, physicians, and hospitals.
• Manage prescriptions and refill requests in the pharmacy system.
• Accurately process new prescriptions and refills.
• Handle customer inquiries proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Comply with regulations, standards, policies, and patient protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois licensed technicians before 2008).
• Experience in long-term or specialized pharmacy order-entry environment.
• Knowledge of insurance reimbursement and coverage guidelines.
• Strong math, computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Availability to work every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.
