Job summary

Valley View is seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Technician for inpatient services in Glenwood Springs, CO, with a day shift and rotating weekends. You will procure and distribute medication orders per physician or pharmacist requests, following established policies and protocols.

The role requires a High School Diploma, Colorado DORA-certified pharmacy tech (or provisional), and 2–3 years of inpatient or outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent requirement.
• Pharmacy Tech Certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) preferred.
• Provisional certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) considered.
• 2–3 years inpatient or outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.

Job description

Full-time Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient working day shift with rotating weekends!

As the Pharmacy Tech you procure and distribute medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Tech Certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) is preferred.
• Will consider candidates with provisional certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA).

Experience:

• 2-3 years pharmacy technician, inpatient or outpatient experience preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
• Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).
