Qualifications

• 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Registered Technician with State (CPhT).
• Sterile compounding experience.
• Expertise in Epic.
• Proficiency with computer systems and MS Office.
• Ability to teach complex pharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Restocks floor stock and automated dispensing machines.
• Enters charges/credits to ensure accurate billing.
• Delivers medications and ensures compliance with DEA, DPH and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Repackages bulk medications to unit-of-use packaging per USP standards.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications following USP 797/800 guidelines.
• Maintains records for IV admixtures and QA checks.
• Oversees medication storage, inventory management and automated dispensing systems.
• Trains new staff in central pharmacy operations and sterile compounding.

Delivers all medication inDelivers all medication in compliance with all DEA, DPH & State Board of Pharmacy regulationsRepackages bulk supplies of medications in unit of use packaging in accordance with all Federal USP <795> & USP<800> standardsPrepares and delivers IV medications in accordance with Federal USP <797> & USP <800> standards. Maintains records pertaining to IV admixtures, maintains cleanliness in sterile areas, and completes QAChecks for expired medications within the pharmacy & automated dispensing cabinets. Ensures that all expired/damaged medications are disposed of in accordance with RCRA, OSHA & NIOSH regulationsLevel Specific Responsibilities:Oversees in the inspection of medication storage areas to ensure compliance with regulations and standards and takes actions to correct deficiencies.Oversees drug procurement and receiving and takes actions to improve inventory management.Oversees automated dispensing systems inventory management.Oversees diversion prevention monitoring and takes action to improve outcomes.Responsible for training new staff in Central Pharmacy Operations.
