Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in a pharmacy setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required;State CPhT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers all medication in compliance with DEA, DPH & State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications in accordance with USP standards (797/800).
• Maintains records pertaining to IV admixtures and QA.
• Checks for expired medications and disposes of damaged items per regulations.
• Trains new staff in Central Pharmacy Operations and sterile compounding.

Maintains records pertaining to IV admixtures, maintains cleanliness in sterile areas, and completes QA.Checks for expired medications within the pharmacy & automated dispensing cabinets. Ensures that all expired/damaged medications are disposed of in accordance with RCRA, OSHA & NIOSH regulations.Level Specific Responsibilities:Participates in the inspection of medication storage areas to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.Participates in drug procurement and receiving.Participates in automated dispensing systems inventory management.Participates in diversion prevention monitoring.Responsible for training new staff in Central Pharmacy Operations.
