Mercy Hospital South is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. The Technician reports to the supervising pharmacist and adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations for patient safety.

The Tech III level requires three years of relevant pharmacy experience and certification (PTCB), with Tech I/II having progressively higher requirements. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a caring team.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalence is required.
• Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit registration by first day of work, including fingerprints for FBI background check.
• 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience preferred for Tech I; 1 year required for Tech II; 3 years required for Tech III; certification (where applicable) is noted for Tech II/III.

Responsabilidades

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications while following applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain accuracy and safety in medication handling and customer service under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Complete pharmacy department orientation and adhere to Mercy policies and procedures.

Tech I

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.

Tech II

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience required; 2 years preferred.
