Job summary

MUSC Health & Medical University of SC in Columbia, SC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III to assist a registered pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, collecting and verifying patient information, and stocking supplies.

The role may prepare labels and routine prepacked orders, and perform light clerical duties. Requires a high school diploma or GED and SC Board of Pharmacy registration with national certification (PTCB). Two years' experience and sterile compounding preferred.

The Pharmacy Technician III assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Minimum Training and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with 1 year experience.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience and experience in sterile compounding preferred.
