Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (I–IV) to support drug distribution under the Pharmacy Coordinator in the Department of Pharmacy Services.

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent; Work Experience: 2 years; Credentials: SCBOP registration and PTCB national certification; Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing.

The Pharmacy Technician (I, II, III or IV) reports to the Pharmacy Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician I supports the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services.

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
Work Experience: 2 years.
Credentials: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
