Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Maryland Technician Registration or Maryland Pharmacy Intern Certificate or Pharmacy Student Technician Exemption Certificate for students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• At least 6 months of experience in a pharmacy technician role.

Responsibilities

• Selects, packages, and labels medication and supply orders for inspection and approval by a pharmacist.
• Processes medication orders with accurate data entry of patient and insurance information and order details for verification.
• Maintains and monitors inventory levels of medications and supplies.
• Delivers medications and pharmacy services to patients and care areas in compliance with standards.
• Calculates, measures and compounds per USP guidelines, including non-sterile and sterile compounding.
• Collaborates with health care team and pharmacist to address patient-specific medication needs.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education

Maryland Technician Registration

Maryland Pharmacy Intern Certificate

Pharmacy Student Technician Exemption Certificate
