Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT (NHA).
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year equivalent experience.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician through PA State Board by start date.

Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders including computer entry, prep, and assembly prior to pharmacist check.
• Maintains inventory and supplies per policies; uses pharmacy computer systems.
• Assists customers by taking prescriptions, documenting information, and releasing medications per policy.
• Outpatient: validates insurance coverage and adjudication; handles cash, deposits, and accounting reports.
• Inpatient: compounds, stocks, repackages, and prepares IV admixtures and labeling.
