Qualifications

• Maryland State Pharmacy Technician Certificate in good standing required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.
• 2–3 years of retail pharmacy technician experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Some college-level coursework in healthcare or science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, interpret, and process prescription orders under supervision.
• Verify labels against prescriptions and handle POS transactions with counseling.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, and audits.
• Maintain compliance with DEA, MDBOP and OCSA regulations.
• Provide patient-focused service and address inquiries and prescription requests.
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and protect patient confidentiality.
