Job summary

St. Davids Medical Center in Austin, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in medication preparation, inventory management and patient record maintenance.

You will ensure patient-specific care standards and high satisfaction by following service excellence practices. Responsibilities include preparing IVs/IVPBs, managing IV room workflow, combining meds for patients and machines, and maintaining logs and inventory with accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months hospital pharmacy experience.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration or intern license.
• Sterile Products (IV) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IVs, IVPBs and chemotherapy medications using aseptic technique and manage IV room workflow.
• Select, charge/credit and prepare medications for patients, dispensing machines, floor stock; investigate missing meds before replacement.
• Deliver medications/IVs and floor stock accurately and timely.
• Complete monitoring and documentation (temperature logs, expiry checks, shift duties, cleaning logs).
• Assist with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
