Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II PRN to join its hospital pharmacy team.

The role focuses on accurate preparation of IVs/chemotherapy and efficient IV room workflow, along with dispensing, floor stock, and crash cart support. The position requires at least six months of hospital Pharmacy Technician experience and TSBP registration or intern license, with sterile IV certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience with IV/IVPB preparation and sterile compounding is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IVs, IVPBs, and chemotherapy meds using aseptic technique and manage IV room workflow.
• Select, charge/credit, and prepare meds for patients, machines, floor stock, and crash carts; investigate missing meds.
• Deliver medications/IVs and floor stock accurately and timely.
• Complete required monitoring and documentation (temperature logs, expired meds checks, shift duties, cleaning logs).
• Assist with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
