UC San Diego is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III to support pharmacists in preparing medications for patient use and distributing medications. The role includes record keeping, billing, inventory, and assisting with medication histories in a fast-paced environment.

Depending on experience, the position may be hired at Tech II or Tech III level. Licensure and certifications are required, with opportunities to handle IV sterile compounding and EMR systems in a clinical setting.

Formación

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) per PTCB (required for Tech III).
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• 2–5 years of previous Pharmacy Tech experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral) according to procedures.
• Distribute medications, perform record keeping and billing functions.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform operational duties in assigned areas.
• Assist with completing medication orders and related distribution duties.
• Assist in best possible medication histories for patients.
