Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) per PTCB.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• A minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g. Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst); OR a Pharmacy School graduate; OR expanded responsibilities over several areas OR possess a Pharmacy Intern License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral).
• Distribute medications, record keeping, and billing functions; maintain inventory levels.
• Perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and assist with medication orders and distribution.
• Assist in best possible medication histories for patients.
