UC San Diego Health is hiring Pharmacy Technician II/III for the EC Pharmacy at East Campus Medical Center. The role supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, handling records, and maintaining inventory.

Position is at 80% appointment with a schedule of 8-hour shifts across Sundays to Saturdays. Requires California pharmacy credentials and 2–5 years of related experience.

Formación

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB is required for Pharmacy Tech III.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must have 2–5 years of previous Pharmacy Tech experience.
• Proven knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Strong computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
• Demonstrated ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral) per procedures.
• Distribute medications, perform record keeping and billing functions.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform assigned operational duties.
• Assist pharmacists with completing medication orders and related distribution duties.
• Assist in best possible medication histories for patients.
