Job summary

Texas Health Alliance in North Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join the Alliance Hospital team. This full-time evening shift role involves medication reconciliation, accurate preparation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience, and RPhT certification on hire. Training provided through CE and hands-on onboarding.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Requires at least 6 months pharmacy tech experience in healthcare setting.
  • RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician upon hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech 1.
  • Autonomous responsibility with record keeping or as single point of contact outside the department.
  • Advanced technology expertise and ownership.
  • Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians).
  • Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including use of technology where appropriate.
  • Ensure accuracy of own work and maintain competencies and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Communicate effectively and foster teamwork.
  • Manages own time and helps minimize pharmaceutical costs and improve processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Evening Shift

Medication Reconciliation Technician position for Alliance Hospital. Training will be provided upon hire through CE and hands-on training. Shifts will mostly be afternoon/evening during high admission time periods.

What You Will Do

Tasks specific to Tech II:

  • Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech 1
  • Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department
  • Advanced technology expertise and ownership

  • Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.
  • Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs and initiatives. 10%
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Communicate effectively, develop working relationships and role model teamwork
  • Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned
