Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to operate under Pharmacist supervision in California, focusing on packaging, preparation, and compounding of oral and intravenous medications, including chemotherapy and biohazard meds.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800, manage inventory, receive orders, and coordinate with specialty pharmacies to support timely deliveries of medications for infusion.

Qualifications

• CA Registered Pharmacy Technician required or pending.
• 3+ years performing related duties as a pharmacy technician.
• CPhT certification from PTCB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Packaging, preparation, and compounding of oral medications.
• Intravenous medications and chemotherapy/biohazard meds preparation.
• Maintain control procedures and inventory management; oversee stock control.
• Prescription order entry and processing; coordinate with pharmacies or manufacturers for deliveries.
