Job summary

Freeman Springdale Hospital – Pharmacy in Springdale, AR is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to assist under pharmacist supervision with medication preparation, distribution, and patient drug-therapy records.

Requirements include current PTCB national certification or ExCPT and licensure with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy (or Missouri Pharmacy Intern license). BS in Pharmacy preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national certification or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
• Registration with valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation & distribution of all doses of medication.
• Maintain drug inventories and stock auto dispensing cabinets.
• Complete patients records pertaining to drug therapy.

What You'll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) national certification or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

Registration with valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy or current Missouri Pharmacy Intern License.
