Dayton Children's is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support the inpatient pharmacy team at the Main Campus. Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will prepare medications for dispensing and ensure accuracy in accordance with department policies.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license. You will train with pharmacists and other technicians and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Details: The Pharmacy Technician II assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician II works under supervision of the pharmacist, and focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department. This role meets the requirements of being a qualified pharmacy technician as established by the State Board of Pharmacy and holds a Certified Pharmacy Technician license from a State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency. The technician complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies. The pharmacy technician II has mastered job duties and responsibilities and takes active part in training technicians and quality improvement projects.
