Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Englewood, CO is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist to assist in pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. This role supports patient care by ensuring accurate medication handling and timely delivery.

You will perform non-sterile compounding, stock automated cabinets, deliver unit doses, assist with inventory and may work in IV rooms, controlled substances, automation, informatics and billing.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) certificate or national equivalent.
• If hired with a provisional certificate, must achieve CPhT within 12 months of hire.
• High school diploma.
• Two years' experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Non-sterile compounding and stocking automated dispensing cabinets.
• Prepare unit dose drugs.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Check medication storage areas for outdated items.
• Complete billing duties.
• May work in IV room, controlled substances, automation, informatics and reconciliation.

Qualifications you will need for this role:

• A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)- issued Pharmacy Technician certificate or a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)- issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
• If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.
• High school diploma
• Two years' experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
