RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician I to support specialty pharmacy operations in a fast-paced setting. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, operating CareTend, and coordinating with pharmacists and call center teams to manage inquiries and copays.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, NH Board licensure in NJ within 6 months, and preferred CareTend experience. This hourly position offers growth in a comprehensive health system.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional pharmacy technician experience.
• Active NJ Board of Pharmacy licensure must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• PTCB national certification preferred.
• Direct working knowledge of CareTend software or similar billing networks preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and dispense patient-specific prescriptions and explain processes.
• Operate CareTend and Microsoft 365, and adjudication applications to ensure safe medication distribution.
• Assist pharmacists and call center teams with scheduling, inquiries, and collecting copays.
• Set up shipping logs, manage courier records, review insurance rejections, and assist with weekly refills.
• Calibrate and maintain pharmacy equipment; complete QA logs and daily cleaning of work areas.
• Monitor stock levels and alert procurement to ensure inventory and rotation of short-dated products.
• Enter and verify records using prescription tracking software; resolve delivery or mail issues.
• Adhere to pharmacy protocols including compounding and PPE requirements.
