Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Pharmacy Technician 1 to support pharmacy services under supervision, manage inventory, and assist in delivering patient care per regulatory requirements.

You will perform stocking, labeling, dispensing, and patient-facing duties while maintaining accuracy and compliance with the formulary and billing data. This role requires good communication and teamwork within a pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in a pharmacy setting.
• Certification: TX Board of Pharmacy license (PHT) or PHT intern license.

Responsibilities

• Performs stocking, preparation, labeling, dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Assists patients and staff with nonjudgmental questions under pharmacist supervision.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs to the correct contact for service.
• Monitors inventory and assists with drug purchasing and receiving medications.
• Maintains pharmacy records, QC procedures, and prepares orders for drugs.
• Enters medication orders from doctors’ sheets, ensures correct billing data and charges.
