Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 1 to support pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision in Texas. The role involves stocking, labeling, dispensing and delivering medications, and assisting patients and staff with questions.

The position requires HS Diploma or GED and certification/licensing with the TX Board of Pharmacy (PHT license or intern license). Benefits and PTO start from Day 1, with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs limited pharmacy services and duties associated with stocking, preparation, labeling, dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Assists patients and medical staff with nonjudgmental questions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist preceptor.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs callers to the right person for service.
• Communicates inventory needs and assists with drug purchasing and inventory control.
• Performs tasks related to pharmacy records, quality control, and order preparation for drugs.
