Job summary

Mercy Springfield is hiring a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists with preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications while following state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include using EPIC, managing inventory, and delivering medications to patients. The role supports ongoing training and quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician certification or willingness to obtain registration as required by state.
• CPhT certification preferred within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and medication information into EPIC and assist with dispensing.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Assist with stocking, inventory management and medication labeling.
• Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
• Support onboarding and training of new coworkers and participate in team meetings.
