Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician in Mount Pleasant, WI, to support dispensing and patient service in the Pharmacy department. The role covers first and second shift coverage with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, entering orders, and assisting staff and customers, while maintaining compliance with USP, state, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• No experience required.
• Licensure as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student in Wisconsin; PTCB or ExCPT certification within two years of hire.
• Two required certifications: Immunization and non-vaccine injectable, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop competence in dispensing and delivery of medications and in department information systems.
• Prepare non-sterile products following applicable USP/state/federal guidelines.
• Enter medication orders in the computer system and process requests digitally.
• Handle calls from customers, nurses, physicians, and patients with timely resolution or escalation.
• Adhere to pharmacy procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow controlled substance procedures and applicable accreditation standards.
